Clear Information for Learners and Families
Choosing an educational program comes with important questions. This page provides practical information about how Sabilou Rachad is being structured and what learners and families can expect as programs continue to develop.
Getting Started
Who can register at Sabilou Rachad?
Sabilou Rachad welcomes youth and adult learners. Parents or guardians can register children through Youth & Family Registration, while individuals age 18 or older can register for themselves through Adult Learner Registration.
How do I register?
Visit the Registration page and choose the option that applies to you. Parents and guardians should select Youth & Family Registration. Individuals age 18 or older registering for themselves should select Adult Learner Registration.
Can I register more than one child?
Yes. The Youth & Family Registration process is designed for families and allows parents or guardians to provide information for their children as part of the registration process.
What happens after I submit a registration?
The registration is reviewed by the Sabilou Rachad team. Depending on the learner and program, the next steps may include an assessment, placement review, additional communication with the family or adult learner, and enrollment confirmation.
Assessment & Placement
Why does my child need an assessment?
Every student receives an Arabic and Quran reading assessment before placement. This helps us understand the student's current reading ability and place the learner at an appropriate starting level rather than relying only on age or previous experience.
Does my child still need an assessment if they already read Arabic or Quran?
Yes. Every student is assessed before placement, including students who already have Arabic or Quran reading experience. Previous experience is helpful information, but the assessment allows the instructional team to confirm the appropriate starting point.
How are students placed into levels?
Placement is based on demonstrated reading ability, Quran experience, memorization readiness, and the learning needs identified during assessment. Sabilou Rachad uses a structured progression from Level A through Level M.
What is Level A?
Level A is the Arabic Reading and Foundation level. It is designed to build the reading skills learners need before progressing into the Quran reading and memorization levels.
What are Levels B through M?
Levels B through M provide a structured Quran learning progression. The levels move through selected surahs and eventually into longer portions of the Quran, with Level K covering Al-Baqarah, Level L covering Aal 'Imran, and Level M covering An-Nisa'.
Quran, Arabic & Hifz
Does a student need to read Arabic before beginning Hifz?
Students need sufficient Quran reading readiness before beginning the structured memorization path. Building a strong reading foundation helps learners memorize more accurately and develop greater independence in their Quran study.
What does Hifz mean?
Hifz refers to memorization of the Quran. At Sabilou Rachad, memorization is approached as a structured learning journey supported by Quran reading, review, consistency, and appropriate placement.
What if my child cannot read Arabic yet?
That is okay. The assessment will help determine the appropriate starting point. Learners who need to develop Arabic reading skills can begin with the foundation needed before advancing into higher Quran reading and memorization levels.
Do you offer Islamic Studies in addition to Quran?
Yes. The educational vision of Sabilou Rachad brings together Quran learning, Arabic reading, Islamic Studies, character development, and purposeful mentorship.
Adult Learners
Can adults study at Sabilou Rachad?
Yes. Adult Learner Registration is available for individuals age 18 or older who are registering for themselves.
What can adult learners study?
Adult learning opportunities may include Arabic Reading, Quran Reading, Quran Memorization, Islamic Studies, and other learning opportunities as programs develop.
Will adult learners be placed in the youth level system?
Not necessarily. Adult learners can be assessed when level placement is needed, but adult instruction does not have to mirror the youth curriculum exactly. Placement and learning pathways can reflect the adult learner's experience, goals, and program availability.
Do adult learners complete an assessment?
An assessment may be used when it is helpful for determining Quran or Arabic reading level, memorization readiness, or appropriate program placement.
Schedule & Programs
When are weekend classes held?
The planned weekend learning schedule is Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
What happens on Fridays?
Friday is planned as a flexible afternoon or evening program period rather than a regular 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM class day. Activities may include youth mentorship, sports, family activities, community programming, and other scheduled opportunities. Friday activities may be offered monthly or bi-weekly depending on the program calendar.
Are Friday activities held every week?
Not necessarily. Friday programming is intended to remain flexible, with activities planned according to the center's calendar and community needs.
Does Sabilou Rachad offer mentorship?
Mentorship is part of the center's broader vision for purposeful development. The goal is to support learners not only academically and spiritually, but also in character, responsibility, service, and preparation for life.
Tuition & Enrollment
How much is tuition?
Tuition information will be provided before enrollment is finalized. Sabilou Rachad is working to build a sustainable program while keeping accessibility for families and learners in mind.
Does submitting a registration guarantee enrollment?
Submitting a registration begins the admissions process but does not by itself finalize enrollment. Registration review, assessment or placement when applicable, program capacity, and enrollment confirmation are part of the process.
When will my enrollment be confirmed?
Enrollment is confirmed after the applicable registration, review, assessment, and placement steps have been completed and the center communicates the final enrollment status.
Will financial assistance be available?
Sabilou Rachad intends to support accessibility where possible. Student sponsorship and assistance program details are still being developed, and availability, eligibility, and procedures will be communicated as those programs are finalized.
Parents & Families
How can parents support their child's progress?
Parents can support progress by helping students arrive prepared, encouraging consistent practice at home, staying informed about center communications, and maintaining a strong partnership with instructors and the Sabilou Rachad team.
What should students bring to class?
Specific learning-material requirements will be communicated to families as classes and placements are finalized. Students should come prepared to participate, learn, and care for the materials provided or assigned to them.
What is the attendance policy?
Consistent attendance is important for meaningful progress. Detailed attendance, absence, and communication procedures will be provided to families as center policies are finalized.
How will parents receive updates?
Families will receive important program, schedule, placement, and center communications through the contact information provided during registration. Additional communication procedures will be shared as operations are finalized.
